Hello out there! My name is Candace Allen and I am the 2011-2012 Lieutenant
Governor of Division 8A. Currently I am a junior at St. Josephs Academy and I have
been in Key Club for 2 years. Honestly, I joined Key Club my freshman year because
all of my friends joined it. I never really planned to fall in love, but I did. I have not
previously held an office in my home Key Club but after my first DCON experience
I knew that the District Board was where I belonged. I am also a member of many
other clubs at my school including: Beta, Liturgy Committee, Spanish Club, Students
for Unity, and Student Ambassadors. I college I would like to study Kinesiology. Some
of my college choices are: Spelman College, Tulane, Clark University, Texas A&M, and
University of Miami. I like to volunteer in many different ways, but my favorite things
to do are: help out with my elementary school summer camp, go on service trips
with my school, and volunteer at the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. I am looking
forward to my year on the District Board and I have many goals for our Division! In
this year I hope to: start and reactivate a large number of clubs, introduce a Builders Club, work to better our K Family relationships, attend many club projects and host 2 interdivisional service projects.
