Gabrielle Murphy

District Governor

Hello! My name is Gabby Murphy and I am your 2011-2012 LaMissTenn District Governor. I am very excited to be working with the whole district this year in service, but first let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a senior at St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge, LA. I love my school and spent two years on its student council. Other clubs I am involved in include Science and French clubs and also Respect Life Club. I am on Student Ministry and cannot wait to make the best of my last year. Though I am very involved in my school, Key Club has been my passion for the past two years. I joined Key Club as a freshman and was elected Lt. Governor of Division 8A for my junior year. I fell in love with Key Club, the district board, and service. I love service and what Key Club stands for because it makes me feel fulfilled when I am helping others. I believe there is no better feeling than what you get when you improve someone’s life. I love being able to give back with all of the blessings I’ve been given. I have done many service projects in high school and went on a mission trip to Nicaragua recently. I don’t have a favorite service project because they have all made an impact on my life in a different way. One cause that really affects me would be pediatric cancer, which is why my Governor’s Project this year, Project Inspire, is dedicated to helping St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. If you have any questions for me or would like to help LaMissTenn this year, feel free to contact me at gabbylamisstenngov@yahoo.com .
Yours in service,
Gabby Murphy
LaMissTenn District Governor
