About The Louisiana Mississippi West Tennessee District
The Louisiana-Mississippi-West Tennessee district is located in the southeastern United States and is composed of three states that all share one feature, the mighty Mississippi River. Founded in 1944, the LaMissTenn District, as it is commonly referred to, is the second district to be founded in Key Club International. There are currently twenty-three divisions that make up the district. The district office is located in Baton Rouge, LA where Charles "Papa" Ford serves as the Executive Director. The District Administrator is Glenn Borne from Covington, LA. At the 2011 District Convention, LaMissTenn Key Clubbers elected Gabby Murphy, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana to the office of Governor where she currenly serves. LaMisstenn's sister districts are the Kentucky-Tennessee District and the Bahamas District, guided by International Trustee Alan Wang. The district mascot is "Jean Claw the Crawfish" who reminds us to "Serve with spice!"
